Cameron Smith began work as an editor after graduating from Sheridan College’s Advanced Television and Film program in 2013.
Since then, he has consistently worked on a varied slate of short film, documentaries and web series projects including “Ivy”, an official selection at the 2013 Inside Out Film Festival and the National Screen Institute Film Festival, and “Faith’s Goal”, an official selection at the 2017 TIFF Kids Film Festival.
Cameron also served as the editor on the acclaimed web series “World Away”, which was selected by Series Mania as one of the best web series of 2015 and made the WGA’s hotlist in August 2015. He received a nomination for Best Editing for World Away at the 2015 Nice International Film Festival.
Recently, Cameron edited episodes of the comedy web series, “Less than Satisfactory”. In 2016, he was brought on to edit all episodes on Toronto-based web series, “Just Cuddle”, which has received acclaim from the Toronto Star, She Does The City and the Huffington Post and was a Metro Editor’s Pick. The second season of the series was released in January 2017, and is currently in development with DFP Productions for television. Cameron is currently busy editing a new series called Friendship with some of Toronto's most talented writers and directors and putting the finishing touches on the soon to be released LAN with the Dead short film. Cameron is eagerly looking forward to an even bigger 2019.
